Last night I... Beets.

Yep, blah blah blah Beets Beets Beets.

They were playing at Death By Audio, and I guilted Jacob into guestlisting me. I'm broke yo.

Yesterday was a pretty great day in general.

It was beautiful out.

I got coffee, went to the park, got more coffee, went back to the park, walked down Bedford, went to that park on Grand and River, sat in the grass while listening to music, walked back to Bedford ave, met Theresa at Academy, went back to McCarren, met up with my mom, went back to the park, got dinner at DuMont.

And all before seeing any live music! Shocking, I know.

Well, I bought two 24oz cans of Busch and walked to Death By Audio.

When Death By Audio says a show starts at 8, that usually means closer to 10. I'm always way too early and I always stand around like the awkward weirdo I am. So last night, I didn't get there until 9:30... and only caught the last song of the first band. WTF, DBA?

Well, they were Your 33 Black Angels and the short part of their set I did see was just swell. Note to self: Check them out in the future.

The Beets played, and this was the first time I had seen them as their new five piece. It's a little weird for me but the vocals sound good and hopefully it'll be awesome. I'm just so used to the old way. Oh yeah, I still don't have the fucking LP.

The Beets agreed that I am their number two fan. I'll take it.

I was flipping out about work in the morning so I left after The Beets. I was totally going to go straight home, but on Grand street I ran into newly married Ethan (from LiveFastDie and Liquor Store) with that dude Chris and some other dude outside of Clem's.

So I stayed there for a drink and a shot and too many cigarettes...

Living in Brooklyn, what will happen next??
