I got this same message. I'm not a band. I should have agreed and showed up and done some stand-up comedy, but instead I did the only thing I was qualified to do: set them up an awesome show at Silent Barn with My Teenage Stride, Bright Lights, and I'm Turning Into.
It turns out Surfer Blood, this young band from West Palm Beach, is really great. They pound out Beach Boys-ish tunes with an edge that makes them catchy and exciting. They're all pretty cute too.
They've played a few shows in New York, and tonight is your last chance to catch them before they make their way back to the magical land of Florida. Come out, eat some seafood and watch some beach rock at Surf Bar tonight!
You will not regret it.
