Young PopJew in 'da pit
I always thought, when I grew up, and became a cool BlogJew, that I would feel "part of something" and accepted by the cool bloggers, and life would be complete. But now, I know that is never to be.
Today I read about Altered Zones, an animal collective of cool bloggers with cool taste in cool music. So many of my fave bros are there. Ultimate dude Jheri, Brits Sahil and Jack, Ultimate Chiller McGregor, Texas cuties Nate and Ryan and smartest chick Emilie all got invited to this party, and I got left at the nerd table. Feeling so sadddd, need to see the guidance counselor, or maybe get some meds prescribed to help me deal with not being "accepted."
Will people still read me? Will my mp3s still get played? If a blogger blogs on her blog and no one is there to comment, does it make a sound?
Gotta learn how to make it on my own. Gotta find friends who will "get me" and will want 2 sit with me at lunch. Life is really hard!
Here are some songs to let you know just how hard it is 2 b me! Feeling angsty, feeling rejected, feeling blank again...
Jay Reatard -- Feeling Blank Again
Catatonic Youth -- I've Had It Out of Control
Eddie Current Suppression Ring -- Let Me Be Honest With You
Child Molesters -- I'm Gonna Punch You In The Face

hey girl, just want to let you know, i think you're mad spesh. & don't worry about the altzonez cause you're still at the cool kids' table. altzonez ain't the table. that's just the class your friends sucked the dick of the AP teacher to get into.
jkjkjkjkkkk!!!
kinda. ;)
but seriously, don't fret. whatever altzonez does, it won't be YOU. you're the only one who can be you & that's why people read your shit to begin with. if it was just for mp3s or whatever, they could have just googled it. so keep it real & keep doin' you girl! #neverforget #xoox
tooooo late! already going goth first thing 2morrow! jk, jk, really not offended in the least by this, just needed 2 b part of the "conversation"
alright, chill. i'll call off the suicide watch.
What nooobody seems to be talking about in the wake of the Altered Zones announcement is $$$.
Pitchfork's (only?) value to these bloggers is its ad sales team so how will the revenue be handled...? They may go w/ a Gawker-style pageview bonus or, even worse, a straight commision, $-per-click set-up.
If Altered Zones becomes the best way for these writers to make money, it'll be difficult for them to maintain their singular vision and we may find these blogs producing more and more homogenous, Pitchfork-friendly posts...
All of the great blogs not invited to Schreiber's smoky house party will emerge cooler and more powerful for not being a part of this In crowd.
i want to be friends! come sit at my table, its always closest to the booze
一定要保持最佳狀況呦,加油!!!期待你發表的新文章!.................................................................
